A Manitoba crash ended in tragedy after an Ontario truck driver, Navjeet Singh, allegedly blew a stop sign, killed a mother and her eight-year-old daughter.
so he fled the country....and he was arrested at the airport trying to come back in???? What??? where is the vetting at the airport with checking passports? Did he use a false name? all evidence indicates he needs to be deported ...to Siberia, pls
Who is more daft here - the law for letting him leave custody and Canada or him for trying to get back in? Hard to take this in.
Anyway, good they have him back so he can't repeat the crime and the relatives will have some closure. Unfortunately the taxpayer has to foot the lawyer's fees and "custodial care".
How much over all is this costing us having to prosecute and jail people who are not being properly vetted by immigration?
All of this makes hard-working, decent immigrants look bad too.
I have a few questions: was he given a literacy test in English? Which company/agency “trained” him? Who is hiring these people after their so-called training?
I’ve been a professional driver for the majority of my adult life. I think there needs to be age restrictions when it comes to truck driving, school bus driving and highway coach driving. To me, admittedly a senior now, 25 is too young, especially when it comes to men as their brain is not fully developed until 25.
Why is this not on local news or CBC? Well thats a rhetorical question. But how many other hit and run by illegals are being committed? This has been going on for many years. 10 plus years ago, a large group of cattle that had got out on to number 1 highway were hit by 2 semi tracks. Both trucks written off. No claim was ever made over either trucks. Why? Other than the owner of the cattle reporting the accident to RCMP, it seems they would have never known this took place. So, did either driver not have licences at that point?
This seems to be a much more common occurrence than is being reported. I just read of an East Indian truckdriver, doing a U-turn in the middle of the highway and killing three people in, I think it was Florida. He was totally unqualified to be driving a car let alone a big semi truck….Unbelievable!
Here’s another interesting tidbit. There are two different types of Class 1 Licenses. One for automatic transmissions and one for standard transmissions. I’m betting that most immigrants have never even saw a stick shift, let alone a clutch, and they’ll be given a license to operate an automatic which won’t slow down a tractor unit the same way with thousands of pounds of freight behind them. I give them a wide berth when I’m travelling any where near them.

We need mass deportation of the system cheaters and temp foreign workers, students and fake refugees.
