Isn't this sentence weird: "engaging in organized crime under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act"

So the crime is a violation of the Refugee act? Wouldn't it be a normal criminal act?

Omg ... how could something like that happen in Canada???

So does that mean he is just another illegal refugee criminal using Canada as a base ?

Let him go. He will never be charged with an indictable offence, which would mean being deported. Our judicial system is so corrupt meaning he will only get a summary conviction, allowing him to remain in Canada. What a waste of time and resources, which could be spent on the homeless population. Get your priorities right.
