Indian national pleads guilty to smuggling illegal migrants from Canada to U.S.
The U.S. Department of Justice announced that a 22-year-old Indian national has pleaded guilty to smuggling 12 Indian migrants from Canada into the U.S.
American authorities announced 22-year-old Shivam Lnu has pleaded guilty to his role in smuggling illegal Indian migrants from Canada to the U.S.
According to a Thursday announcement from the U.S. Department of Justice, Lnu “directed smuggling operations” from at least October 2024, through June 2025, “coordinating the illegal transport of aliens across the U.S.-Canada border into the Northern District of New York.”
