Honda announced that it will halt plans to build its $15 billion electric vehicle plant in Ontario, according to Japanese outlet Nikkei Asia.

The automaker cited a decline in U.S. demand for EVs as the reason, saying the automaker will now “put hybrids at the centre of its North American strategy.”
