Highest paying jobs remain in natural resources sectors: StatCan
Canadians employed in those fields were evaluated to work an average of 33.4 hours per week in March 2026.
The highest-earning jobs in Canada are in the mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction sector, according to Statistics Canada data, with employees earning an average of $2,509.13 per week in March 2026.
The agency used data from the Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours to get their findings, which noted a 3.7 per cent wage increase across those sectors compared with March of last year.
