The Conservatives want to amend the Criminal Code to prohibit assisted suicide in cases where the sole underlying condition is a mental illness via a private member’s bill introduced to the House of Commons.
Conservative MPs Tamara Jansen (Cloverdale—Langley City) and Andrew Lawton (Elgin–St. Thomas—London South) held a press conference in Langley, B.C. on Wednesday to promote Jansen’s new bill.
