Civil liberties advocates, commentators, and politicians are outraged online after Hamilton Police openly try to prevent the Dominion Society, a registered non-profit organization that advocates for remigration, from hosting a private nationalist convention.
Hamilton Police are actively trying to discourage any venue from allowing Dominion Society to book space, including by asking “anyone with information” about a recent booking to contact police.
Critics of this move, including those who vehemently oppose the Dominion Society of Canada’s policy suggestions, are calling it an act of overreach, intimidation, and potentially a breach of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
