Hamilton police officer faces child porn charges
A 19-year veteran of the Hamilton Police force is facing child pornography charges after being arrested and charged by Halton Regional Police.

Halton Regional Police Service announced Wednesday that 43-year-old David Hamilton of Burlington has been charged with possession and transmitting child sexual abuse material.
The offences allegedly occurred between Jan. 3 and 4 this year.
Hamilton is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton and has been suspended without pay, according to Halton police.
“These investigations have been funded and made possible through a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. As the matter is now before the courts, the HRPS will not be providing any further updates,” the news release states.
