Ontario families earning a median income now spend more than 50 per cent of their after-tax earnings on monthly mortgage payments, and more than 110 per cent if they reside in the Greater Toronto Area
T’was you and your “comfy parents” generation that listened to the lying, corrupt Carney’s pre-election bullshit!! Fruits of your labour now in full acceleration!!!!!
Here's a weird thing to me. From Grok. Median house price in Prince George BC 445K (population 86K) vs. Edmonton 512K (pop. 1.1 Mil). BC even small towns are expensive.
I was 20 at the time. If I were getting the same wage today that I was getting then. There is no way I could survive, even with the wage I am getting today, it restricts my activities. In 1959, I belonged to a bowling and curling league, went to a movie once a week, played pool and beer every Friday after work, partied on weekends, and still had money in my pocket. I had many friends who enjoyed going out and having a good time. We still had Sunday dinners and watched TV only when we didn't have nothing else to do. Not to mention drive-in movies, A&W car service, founded in 1956, and roller skating. Those were the days!!
You will own nothing...
What they forgot to tell you is that in reality... They forgot a few words..
... EVENTUALLY ... You will own nothing.
Paying over 110% will certainly get you there faster than not.
All part of the plan though.
And yet... So many fools voted for this garbage who, as garbage does... greats more garbage in terms of policies and outcomes.
Yeah we sure are screwed
