Group home worker charged with sex assault of 12-year-old boy

A 30-year-old female staff member at a group home in Oshawa faces several sex crime charges, police concerned there might be other victims

A 30-year-old woman working in an Oshawa group home has been arrested and faces charges after allegedly “sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy several times at the group home.

Durham Regional police announced they arrested Shari Shoshana McGregor, a Clarington resident, on Wednesday after a several-month-long investigation that began in February, though McGregor was later released on an undertaking.

McGregor was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and invitation to sexual touching on Wednesday.
