Disgraced New York financier and convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein visited Canada at least once and repeatedly tried to return, even after his conviction, according to new emails released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Newly released documents from the U.S. DOJ—part of the “Epstein files” ordered released by U.S. President Donald Trump—show that Jeffrey Epstein attempted to enter Canada multiple times following his 2008 conviction, stayed in Canada at least once, and may have been in the country on other occasions.
