Despite having her cellphone seized by police as part of an ongoing corruption probe, former Calgary mayor Jyoti Gondek has yet to provide authorities with the passcode needed to access it. The device was seized by the RCMP following the execution of a search warrant at her home as part of the investigation.
“I have been fully co-operative and respect the legal process,” said Gondek in March after the search occurred. “At the same time this has been very invasive and my lawyer and I will be reviewing it closely to ensure it was justified.”
