Globe and Mail claims that “the United States has collapsed into fascism”
It’s Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show, and Candice dives into the delusional fever dream of the Trump-deranged Globe & Mail. Why does Canada’s paper of record publish this juvenile drivel?
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice takes aim at the Globe and Mail for publishing an insane op/ed declaring that America has fallen to fascism under the Trump administration. Part of the rationale for calling America “fascist” is the ICE raids in Minnesota.
Candice spends a few minutes explaining what is really happening there – immigration officials are trying to deport violent criminals, literal rapists and murderers, while brainwashed leftists are trying to stop them. Despite the insane rhetoric pushed by the fake news media, that’s what President Trump was elected to do: deport the bad guys who came illegally during the previous administration.
The Globe and Mail admits that President Trump has a democratic will, but goes on to assert that the American people who elected Trump are fascist too. Riiiiiight.
Why would Canada’s paper of record promote such a deranged and delusional assertion, especially in the midst of a trade dispute? Are they trying to poke the bear?
Candice recalls a famous quote from George Orwell in his important essay Politics and the English Language: “The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies ‘something not desirable.’”
That’s exactly right, and if we’re going to play this game of hyperbolic cosplaying of history, Candice argues you could just as easily and probably more persuasively argue that Canada possesses the characteristics of a “fascist state.” She explains how the Canadian Prime Minister has more absolute control over Canada than an American President has in the U.S., since he controls two of the three branches of government (executive and legislative) and has veto power over the third (the judiciary via the Notwithstanding Clause). She continues by saying the government is ignoring the democratic will of the public (by allowing floor-crossings to try to achieve a majority government), cracking down on free speech, independent media and opposition, and through more government control over the economy and the connection between industry and government.
Candice urges the legacy media to stop playing this stupid game, and stop calling everyone we disagree with a “fascist.”
Enjoy this episode of Fake News Friday and have a great weekend!

Lol. I would rather live in that particular fascist country than Canada under Carneys insane immigration policies, a country that won't police its borders, that allows protests for ant Semitic terrorist groups, that wants to censor free speech, and stops provinces from developing its resources, all well taking firearms away from legal gun owners... etc etc etc.
So to summarize, presidential elections are pointless, unless its the mid terms at which point the Democrats will believe in democracy again and appeal to mostly “fascist” voters to see the light 💡 and vote 🗳️- for them. That last doobie must have not worked. Unless, of course, they have run out of ganga at the “experienced it differently” Grope and Wail.
