Global Affairs Canada fired 25 diplomats due to malpractice, 11 more resigned
Two employees were fired over an office fistfight, while others were involved in theft and misappropriation of funds.
Twenty-five diplomats were fired from Global Affairs Canada last year due to their behaviour, including one who was caught engaging in secret contact with a foreign government. Another 11 employees decided to immediately resign “before disciplinary action could be taken.”
In a government report titled Addressing Misconduct And Wrongdoing At Global Affairs Canada, which was later obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter, neither the fired diplomats nor the foreign state were identified.
