The Liberal government’s newest MP, Marilyn Gladu, is walking back her own previous stance on floor crossing, insisting she never really said MPs should resign and face voters in a byelection, as she refuses to do exactly that herself.
During the first night of the Liberal Party convention in Montreal on Thursday, Gladu faced questions from reporters ranging from how Canadians can trust her after abandoning her apparent socially conservative values to whether she would resign.
