France’s foreign minister says Canada could join EU “at some point”
European leaders hinted at Canada joining the EU as the union positions itself to become the "third superpower."
European leaders are toying with the bizarre idea of Canada joining the European Union, a move they claim would bolster their geopolitical and economic power.
France’s foreign minister Jean-Noël Barrot said Canada may join the European Union “at some point,” adding that “nine countries are formally candidates to EU accession today.”
