Prime Minister Mark Carney has shifted his position on the U.S.–Israeli strikes in Iran, now suggesting the attacks may not be consistent with international law.
The move prompted a blistering response from former Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett, who dismissed Carney’s comments as “stupid,” arguing that Article 51 of the UN Charter explicitly allows nations to act in self-defence.
