A former Chilliwack school trustee has been hit with a massive $750,000 fine by the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal after his public comments about gender ideology were ruled to be hate speech.

A former Chilliwack school trustee has been hit with a massive $750,000 fine by the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal after his public comments about gender ideology were ruled to be hate speech.

The BC Teachers’ Federation and Chilliwack Teachers’ Association filed a human rights complaint against Barry Neufeld in 2017 on behalf of their LGBTQ+ members, covering October 2017 through 2022.
