Canadians still cannot see who has registered under the country’s new foreign influence law, although the commissioner responsible for the registry confirms submissions have been received.
The Office of the Foreign Influence Commissioner of Canada and the registry began operating on August 4.
To date, no registrations have been published. The commissioner’s office confirmed to Juno that it has received submissions but would not say how many.
“The details of arrangements are published on the registry once they have been reviewed and validated by the Office,” a spokesperson said.
