Foreign agents operating in Canada won’t have to disclose their pay
Public Safety Minister, Gary Anandasangaree, revealed that the anticipated Foreign Agent Registry will not disclose the pay of registered foreign agents attempting to influence Canada.
Liberal Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree has revealed that foreign agents aiming to influence public office holders in Canada will be compelled to register their dealings in Canada with the federal government, but that any cash transactions and pay they receive will not have to be disclosed.
As reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, Ananda Sangaree released a Regulatory Impact Analysis of the upcoming Foreign Influence Transparency and Accountability Act regulations.
According to the report, foreign agents operating in Canada will not have to disclose their pay. Anandasangaree deemed disclosing cash transactions by foreign agents “unnecessary” due to the information’s sensitivity.
