Ontario’s Premier weighed in on a man who admitted to overstaying a four-year work permit issued in 1997, as reported by the Epoch Times.
The tribunal awarded the unnamed man benefits, prompting Ford to declare that Ontario support does not extend to illegal residents.
“Our government will always be there to support people in hard times—but that doesn’t include people living in Canada illegally,” he wrote in a Jul. 12 social media post.
