With Canada and the United States in a trade war, Premier Doug Ford is calling on Ontario grocery stores to signal to customers which of their products are Canadian.
So Trudeau’s right-hand-man in Toronto, mandate-luvin’ Doug, is going to cut power off to people in neighbouring states?? This is insanity, if not an all-out act of war, aimed at innocent civilians. All Trump wants is for us to do what we should have been doing all along - control our borders. Trudeau is and has been more of a friend to China than he ever was to the U.S. I fear for what these two bellicose bumpkins will do next.
Not commenting for or against Ford's comments, just prognosticating how it's times like this that make me ask, who do our elected representatives think they are? Being elected is not carte blanche to pursue any course of action you wish, damn the torpedos. It's times like this that leaders need to be extra careful to consider their actions, not puff their chests and let us pay the costs.
well....where do I start? All this hoopla about 'buying Canadian'!!! Why the heck haven't we been doing that all along? Because we get lazy and immune to the long-term effects....how many of us buy at the dollar stores, which are almost totally Chinese made products???? So there we are, propping up the Chinese economy!! And as far as Ford shutting down Starlink, or Ms Freeland putting 100% tariffs on imported Teslas etc - that is now PERSONAL, and has nothing to do with government issues. Get a grip folks, look at the facts, not the opinions.....
These MPs and MPPs represent us the TAXPAYER, the Canadian people......not their greedy, selfish, narcissistic, overstuffed selves. They expect us to trust them?......hahahahahahahaha. Just follow the money folks

Let consumers make the choice makes more sense. Cutting off electricity is foolish, electricity is now a necessity, peoples lives are at risk.

Not a single politician in this country will miss the April 1 wage increase and not a single one will lose his/her job because of tariffs.
But they'll encourage you to hang in there. They are disgusting. All of them.
Canadian made products should have always been very clearly marked for people.
There needs to be freer movement within the country. We are our own worst enemy.

I suppose Ford et al will stop American foodstuffs from crossing the border in the wintertime? Scurvy awaits us all.
