Ontario Premier Doug Ford escalated his war of words with U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday, calling him a “dictator” and “bully” while vowing to inflict economic pain on Americans as the Canada-U.S. trade war intensifies.
Ford made the comments after Trump attacked him on Truth Social, calling him Carney’s “flunky” and warning Canadian leaders to “fall in line” or face “far WORSE” consequences.

Asked to respond to Trump’s remarks, Ford did not hold back.
“No, I don’t respond to a dictator like President Trump, a bully like President Trump,” Ford said. “He’s the type of guy in school that would take your lunch money one day, take your toque off your head the next day, and then steal your running shoes.”
