Canadians are still getting hammered at the grocery store, as food inflation remains the highest in the G7 at 7.3 per cent, according to the latest data from Statistics Canada.

The data published Tuesday found that prices for items like beef, pork, chicken, and nuts had risen between five and 18 per cent since January 2025.

Only eggs and fresh fruit saw a year-over-year decline in cost.
