From sex offenders walking free on statutory release to assailants getting house arrest, a shocking series of 2025 rulings proves our courts are prioritizing “rehabilitation” over public safety.
Seems like the Liberals and the Judiciary [liberal appointees] feel that their enlightened views are less evil than the lynch mobs of days of old.... I beg to differ. Neither does a good job, but at least with lynch mobs, criminals get what they deserve. Whereas today, victims get to suffer endlessly.

Answer the liberal/ndp like it that way, just another force destroying the country from within.
But post something that the government thinks is "hate" you get jail. How is this even considered reasonable? So you hurt someone's feelings & YOU get jail? Since when are we responsible for other peoples' feelings? This is where we're headed. Failed state - more to come.
The Liberals who persist in leniency to perpetrators of crimes, should offer up their households for the house-arrested. I wonder how long it would take for them to rethink their soft on crime policies?
Time for the whole judicial system be updated, and laws brought in to replace this Liberal soft on crime catch and release bail system, and mandatory sentences must be upheld. Eliminate special sentencing based on race. Time for a change in government and get rid of corruption in the Liberal party by removing them from power and bringing charges against politicians who are corrupt.
There are many types of justice. I think the one we all prefer is retributive justice, where the punishment of the individuals who have violated laws or committed wrongful acts aims to achieve vengeance and deter others from following in their path. Unfortunately, the liberals do not believe that and prefer letting the perps go free.

Sort of like how abortion is a woman’s “right to choose.” It’s always the innocent that suffer - our government seems to have a penchant for that.
I my opinion, we don't have a Justice System but rather a useless liberal Legal System. The main focus of a Justice System should always be consequences for criminal activity, and rehabilitation could be an unintended side effect. Consequences must also be swiftly and harshly implemented, with no special treatment for criminals due to the colour of their skin.
Over the centuries, our laws were developed to punish those who committed crimes and protect the victims. It seems to me that those principles have been overturned and the criminal is protected and the victims get to worry about being assaulted again. The people appoint the judges should consider the consequences of their decisions. Oh, how silly of me. Ideology is the only consideration.
Our mentally ill, drug addict son broke into our home four times in the month of December 2025. He was arrested the first time while doing the second B & E and released a few hours later. We were not notified that he was released. He immediately went back to the house a third time to completely ransack our home. He was not to be within 200 meters of the house so he breached his release requirement. He was arrested a second time and held for a few days and then released on Dec 22nd. Now he could not be within 500 meters of the house. In the meantime we spent thousands of dollars to put our house back in order and get a security system. He went back a forth time on Dec 29th and smashed a bedroom window to get in but we were warned by our alarm and called 911. He was arrested a third time and is now being held, we hope, till his court date of January 2nd. He is a sick and dangerous man, and as far as we know no one has even looked into his mental status even though there is nine years of extensive information. He brings other thugs with him to our home. One guy was arrested with him the first time but not the other times. They got away. He has also threatened to kill us many times and posted it on social media. We feel completely abandoned by our justice system. It feels like the wild west and we are on our own to defend ourselves. We are being forced to sell our home for our safety and not let him know where we have moved.
Such things could never be used as plot devices in any novel. They would be deemed ridiculous and unbelievable - even as fiction. The fact that they need to be reported on is truly bizarre, and indicates how low we have fallen as a society.
This comes from a decade of allowing a spoiled, androgynous, 14-year old child to be our PM - even a titular PM with limited power. One of the worst and ongoing crimes his government inflicted on us was the appointment of over 200 appellate court judges and countless like-minded (WOKE, DEI activists) to positions of petty power within the government's bloated bureaucracy. We will continue to suffer from this officially-sanctioned insanity for decades.
