BC Conservative Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay denied allegations that she did not apologize to Teresa Wat, the fourth BC Conservative MLA to resign from caucus to sit as an independent in the last two weeks, and said Wat gave her no notice that she was planning to leave the party.
In her resignation letter, Wat, a former BC Liberal, accused Findlay of failing to apologize for alleged comments that she was a Chinese Communist Party candidate who sold many memberships to pro-CCP British Columbians.
Findlay released a statement hours later on Wednesday, saying she’s had multiple conversations with Tam, made public statements, and even had an apology approved by Wat that was set to be released before Wat resigned, and she cited the apparent lack of apology as a grievance.
