Finally Named: Hussein Saadedeen Identified in Alleged Machete Attack

Three days after a brazen “machete” attack hospitalized two unsuspecting Victorians, authorities have finally identified one of the two accused.
According to a Victoria police news release, two people have been charged and remanded into custody following an alleged assault with a weapon near Beacon Hill Park on Jul. 3, 2026.
One of the accused, 20-year-old Hussein Saadedeen, has been charged with multiple offences under the Criminal Code, including aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon.
