Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced Canada’s “first-ever” Canada Investment Summit to be hosted by a consortium of pension plan investment boards, which will host “the world’s largest investors” in Toronto this September.

The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, one of the event’s hosts, refused to release the list of the 100 investors reported to be attending to Juno News. Juno News was unable to confirm whether Brookfield Asset Management, a company Carney once chaired and has significant investments in, would be in attendance.

According to reports from the CBC, some of the investors will include private investment firm BlackRock, a company tied to rising rent and house prices, the World Economic Forum, and Carney’s own government.
