The federal government just spent over $27.35 million on a hotel in Pickering, Ontario, to help house an “influx” of border-crossers who claimed asylum once they were already in Canada or arrived at a port of entry.

The Durham Humanitarian Response Program will also provide the so-called “irregular” immigrants with “basic needs,” including meals, clothing, and help finding independent housing and jobs, all at taxpayer expense.
