Federal public servants are protesting the government’s new return-to-office policy after being required to work from the office at least four days a week, with some arguing the additional commute will increase greenhouse gas emissions.

Demonstrations were held Wednesday outside federal offices in Ottawa and other cities as employees rallied against the new return-to-office requirement, with union members criticizing the move and calling for greater workplace flexibility.
