Well Danielle, it is time to make your plans for Alberta independence. You had a start, but it seems to have hit pause. I mean the APP, Alberta police force, Alberta actual constitution. Alberta Taxation only. Time to cut off the federal taxing and all aspects of federal controls. You have been busy, but you will need to get busier, perhaps hire a few experts on these particular subjects.

Here is a thought, Alberta and Saskatchewan should become a Nation within a Nation just as the Indians and Quebec , then we would set our own rules rather than having to LISTEN to the feds!!

We need to appoint a “Holman” to do a thorough housecleaning and extraditing of all illegals…..the jihadists, Iranian terrorists, CCP triads, Mexican cartels, the expired CCP spying student visas, etc. etc.

Immigration of thoroughly vetted contributors to Canadian society was once the only way folks came to Canada from other countries! This needs to be returned immediately! Premier Smith knows this exactly!!! How fortunate to have her at the helm here in Alberta!

It’s in the WEF plan to ruin and reduce democracies - to assimilate all the evil, terrorists, violent religions and killers into prosperous rich countries - to tear them apart, to murder, rape and pillage without consequence! Just like we are now seeing in cities across Canada!!!

oh..for sure..things are only gonna get worse..and Carney's mission is to disarm us..and use his legacy media to paint Canadians as "terrorists" in the upcoming battles...(and they ARE coming..)

I believe legacy media readers have decreased substantially and will continue to decline. A few more months with his crazed spending, unwillingness to provide a budget will convince the liberal believers they’ve been led down a garden path! Whatever happens down the road is better than siting quietly while this bastard ruins us completely. I also believe our southern leadership is “just ready and waiting”!! Folks may dislike Trump, but he’s honest, extremely brilliant, common sense and let’s no one bully him!! Least the likes of Carney!!

How does Alberta control immigration? There is no such document as an Alberta Passport. You can’t apply for Permanent Residence status in Alberta, only in Canada. While I completely appreciate Premier Smith’s position on this matter and agree with her, I just don’t see how it can be done. We can’t deport people from Alberta to B.C. or SK.

If there's no available system to deter excessive migration then make one ..a reasonable one. Eg access to provincial services could be conditional.

Good plan, but the provincial government would be as usual fighting the feds and the dei elite, and the greenies. Hard to make a rule like that , but cutting funds for not qualifying is about the best.

Yes through a natural screening. Simple, if you have no job, no income, they will natural leave to another province, or hopefully, back to where they came from. It's not a 100% guarantee, but for the most part works. As it is people land here they go a federal office ask for help with money. They are referred to the Alberta welfare dept. And then they get paid assistance. When the Province says they can longer pay anymore, they have to move on. Smith has mentioned this already.

It's pretty hard to control these things when we have to fight the feds. Which we wouldn't need to do, if the elected were doing the job they were elected to do. As in working for the best interests of the general public and protecting all those citizens within the boundaries of the country. But they think we work for them and and that they are there to protect themselves and finance other countries.
