Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre reacted to the NDP’s leadership convention for the first time in response to a question from Juno News, saying the party was out of line with everyday Canadians.

While in Peterborough, Ontario, at an announcement calling on the government to stop the $90 billion Alto Rail project, Poilievre was asked by Juno News’ Harrison Faulkner his thoughts on the convention and its overt displays of woke identity.

Juno News's @Harry__Faulkner asked Poilievre about the NDP's equity cards and pronoun debates at their latest convention. He replied: "The Canadian people want us to focus on... making the country affordable, safe, and strong. Everything else is a distraction from that."
