An Ontario union overseeing elementary school teachers has mandated its members to embed gender ideology across all subjects in the curriculum, regardless of whether it’s relevant to the subject at hand.

The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario 2024-25 policy reference book states that school boards and staff must “challenge gender stereotypes and integrate trans-positive content into the teaching of all subject areas,” while polling suggests that many in Ontario want to see gender-related instruction treated neutrally or avoided altogether.
