Shannon Boschy is no stranger to challenging the dominant culture to stand up for what he believes in.

On Tuesday, Boschy announced his bid for a seat on the Ottawa-Carleton School Board, vowing to use his experience as an entrepreneur and financial advisor to help get the board’s finances in order and bring a more balanced perspective to the progressive-dominated institution.

In an interview with Juno News, Boschy said he is running for school trustee for a second time to help the board restore order after facing suspensions over chronic mismanagement.
