As a UBC alumnus, I am saddened to watch this mob scene. What has our society come to when a person can not express their views because of a mob actions. We may or may not agree with the speaker, but in a free society they have a right to speak. As a further outrage, the speaker is arrested- shameful.
Regarding the aggressive mob, what is motivating them? Is their cause so fragile and tenuous that they will not tolerate an alternate view? Can they not put forward a rational basis for their cause and so have resort to intimidation? Do they feel that their cause will crumble if the wider public learn the facts?
Prof. Widdowson is to be commended. Not many in society, nor the main-stream media are willing to stand up to such intimidation in order to bring truth to the fore.
They try and drown you out because they don't have a defense and are unwilling to have a rational conversation about the whole IRS/Kamloops thing. It's a common tactic of the left/woke crowd. I can't believe how many white people are selling out their race to socialism. I am being honest. Do they realize what will happen to them if they become a minority in the future? That is incredible total disrespect for a university professor on university property, these ignorant people have no respect for any person that dares to debate a subject that has to be debated in this time of racial prejudice. There are accusations of genocide at these residential schools, and they have to be proven by digging up these supposed graves. Why has this not been done? Could it be that money is the reason? Either way the supposed graves have to be shown to be either real or a figment of the faded memories of the elders. This can be done in a respectful way by the indigenous peoples themselves. T have read two books on this situation, and I found them very revealing, these mobs of ignorant people should take the time to read them to give them an insight on what recorded history actual is. however, these ignorant folks are just that ignorant and are not interested in factual evidence! until such time this will continue!!
