Soldiers at a Canadian Armed Forces base in New Brunswick are now only being served Halal-certified chicken, according to a National Defence spokesperson.
"Under the Defence Administrative Orders and Directives, Religious or Spiritual Accommodation rules, the CAF is bound to “consider” any request for accommodation based on religious or spiritual belief, provided that the belief is “sincerely held and reasonably connected” with the individual’s faith."

No, it does not occur as Jewish soldiers have had no choice at all. What ever they say, it proves that only one religion counts in today's Canadian military and it is not Christianity nor Judaism.

This is rung on the ladder of forcing accomodation and taking control. It would be nice to know how many Muslims are sworn members of the Canadian Armed Forces. How much cost for how many people?

In the industrial setting (100-125 cattle per day) of a slaughterhouse, the process is unbelievably cruel and barbaric, a left over tradition from the middle and dark ages. Throughout the process, (up to 5 minutes in the kill box) the animal is beyond terrified. The smell of fresh blood permeates everything. I have witnessed full-grown cattle, 3 to 4 feet wide, literally break their backbones in an attempt to turn back and escape the looming horror. The terror in their eyes is real, almost human. They are fully aware.
Yes, I did a tour of a killing plant and many things still remain in my mind many years later. Not anti kill but just know the way that some of the behaviour of those doing the job treated the animals. and yes, while they are waiting, they know! That's what got to me as well as another incidence with a pig that did try to escape.

I would suggest making/demanding a similar report regarding 'Kosher' food. Also, I would be diligent and take the Canada Food Inspection Agency to task, and have their intent to push unlabeled 'cloned' meat onto the market sans label, without the knowledge of the consumer, and investigate them thoroughly. Certainly, lab grown meat and cloned meat is neither Halal or Kosher... or palatable to folks who retain understanding of real nutrition and fear God.
