BC Conservative MLA Harman Banghu, who recently announced an Elections BC approved petition to start a provincial referendum on the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA), says the petition is necessary to hold the NDP government to their word.

Banghu also addressed the recent wave of BC Conservative MLAs leaving the conservative caucus and sitting as independent MLAs, saying there’s strong support for Kerry-Lynne Findlay in caucus and that he hopes the departed MLAs can still work together with Conservatives on key issues in the legislature.
