EXCLUSIVE: BC Conservative calls on NDP and feds to crack down on extortion gangs
Bryan Tepper, a BC Conservative MLA and RCMP veteran is calling on the feds and the NDP government to take immediate action against extortion gangs after US-Canada arrests.
A former RCMP officer and current BC Conservative MLA for Surrey—Panorama, Bryan Tepper, is calling on the federal government and the NDP government to stop just making press conferences and instead crack down on the epidemic of organized crime in BC, particularly in his riding.
He’s calling out for both federal and provincial governments to step up after a joint operation, “Project Hardball,” arrested and laid charges against multiple members of Indian-organized crime organizations.
“It’s been a crisis, especially in Surrey, but across British Columbia and Canada,” Tepper told Juno News in an interview. “We’ve done more lip service, with the government of British Columbia doing nothing other than press releases, and we now are relying on the Americans to do our law enforcement for us.”
