A former Chilliwack, B.C., school trustee facing $750,000 in fines from the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal says he intends to fight the penalties and stand firm against gender ideology, saying conversations with detransitioners have only strengthened his conviction that youth gender transitions amount to child abuse.

While in Ottawa for a press conference, rally and later a talk at Ottawa’s Biker Church, Neufeld told Juno News he plans to take the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal fines to “a real court” and is seeking organizations willing to defend his right to express what he believes to be true.
