British commentator Sami Hamdi encouraged attendees at this year’s Muslim Association of Canada convention to use artificial intelligence tools, digital activism campaigns, and coordinated online engagement to advance pro-Palestinian activism.

Hamdi appeared virtually after reportedly being denied entry to Canada through the Electronic Travel Authorization process.

“I want to give a special salaam to the representative from the Canadian immigration, who’s probably somewhere amongst you in that audience deciding whether to give my visa or not,” Hamdi told the audience. “God bless Canada, and save you from the Americans trying to make you a 51st state.”
