Londoners are expressing concerns to True North over the growing number of homeless people who own pitbulls, calling the situation a “ticking time bomb.”

Next to the Sandman Downtown Hotel in London, Ont., sits a smaller, modern-looking building once known as the Executive Suites. It now serves as a homeless shelter. On a weekday evening, three people wait outside to be let in: two women and a man, each smoking fentanyl off sheets of tin foil, each with a pit bull by their side.
