EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Gunn Considering Bid for BC Premier
Aaron Gunn, Conservative Member of Parliament for North Island Powell River, is weighing a run to become the first Conservative Premier of British Columbia since Simon Tolmie in 1933.
Aaron Gunn, Conservative Member of Parliament for North Island Powell River, is weighing a run to become the first Conservative Premier of British Columbia since Simon Tolmie in 1933.
Multiple colleagues in the federal Conservative caucus told Juno News they believe Gunn is seriously considering the leadership and that support for him is already building behind the scenes. One Conservative MP said privately that “he would make a fantastic Premier.”
Andrew Lawton spoke to Juno News on Monday night after this newsroom received credible information that the BC rookie MP was beginning to assemble a leadership exploratory team following the abrupt departure of former party leader John Rustad.
“I know he’s considering it.” Lawton said.
“A lot of people have been asking him to do it. Obviously, I would be sad to lose him as a colleague. But he would make a fantastic premier.”
Gunn previously attempted to run for the leadership of the BC Liberal Party when it was the province’s main right-of-centre vehicle. However, party insiders barred him from entering the race, citing concerns over his blunt style and online commentary.
Gunn first drew significant public attention through a series of hard edged political documentaries released on social media platforms. His productions examined urban disorder, drug policy failures, and public safety concerns in major Canadian cities, attracting large audiences and establishing him as a prominent conservative commentator. His work positioned him as a political outsider willing to confront topics that mainstream parties were reluctant to address.
His supporters describe him as a relentless taxpayer watchdog and a tough on crime conservative whose message resonates strongly with voters frustrated by the province’s ongoing public safety crisis and cost of living pressures.
If Gunn enters the race, it would immediately reshape the political landscape in British Columbia, where the Conservative Party has surged in recent polling and is searching for a leader capable of capitalizing on that momentum.

For Canada to even have a chance of surviving Carney and the abomination that is him and his Government it is clear that Canada is going to have to take the country back one Province at a time.
Quebec is probably a lost cause .. Actually No probably about it unless the funds that the rest of the country (mostly Alberta) sends to them via the bubble that is Ottawa stops.
Alberta is in the process of thinking about leaving an apparently lost and failing country.
That loss and failure has been ably assisted by the likes of OntArWeOwe's pretend Conservative Premier and Government and others but on the top of the list of those who would destroy Canada these days is Eby and his NDP Government who appear to hate everything unless it is giving over the Province to Indigenous types.
... AND SO ....
GO... Aaron Gunn and best wishes should you decide to take on Eby who dearly needs to BE GONE.
BC Needs you now...
CANADA Needs you now...
Consider taking the leap.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recognize that Aaron would be an awesome option for BC, and that it can potentially change Canada's political and financial landscape. However, I hope we have enough seats in Parliament to hold the line there...
