Eby upset that temporary foreign worker program doesn't provide path to citizenship
B.C. Premier David Eby says he is "not a fan" of changes to the temporary foreign worker program, citing restrictive work contracts and a lack of pathway to permanent residency.
British Columbia Premier David Eby is blasting the temporary foreign worker program, not for robbing Canadians of jobs, but because it doesn’t give temporary migrants a path to Canadian citizenship or allow them to remain in the country past their visa.
While speaking on the controversial program, the B.C. Premier said he doesn’t see how the federal program could help build the province.
