Premier David Eby has called a snap election in BC just days after the province’s official opposition, the BC Conservatives, lost Findlay and appointed Lorne Doerkson as interim leader.
Politics across Canada is a joke. BC is in trouble right now and then this. The Conservatives need to get their act together and unite and quote all the internal bickering!
What else would we expect from Eby and the NDP. This shows complete disregard for the conservative citizens in BC. I suggest this is the action of a scared man. He recognizes that the support for the NDP is failing and he wants to secure another election win before his opponents can get organized.
A Conservative caucus smear campaign against their own leader, the resignation of that leader, CCP direct discussions with B.C. First Nations for access to resources now that fee simple property rights have questionable legal standing in the province, and now the NDP premier calling a snap election. “Hey, Sam Cooper - what does this smell like to you?”
Debt-to-GDP Ratio: B.C.'s debt-to-GDP ratio sits at 34.6% and is climbing, whereas Alberta maintains the lowest ratio in Canada at just 12.9%. Higher taxes and higher debt load with an ndp government.
The top photo is quite misleading. This was taken on Canada Day so don’t mistake the crowd for those who support Eby. Never have I met so many people of all political stripes who think he has driven this province into the ground. Before our last election two years ago, the Conservatives had two seats and the Eby government a huge majority. They ended up winning by one seat over the Conservative Party. People here are fed up. Don’t listen to the pundits who didn’t predict such a result last time and feel Eby will still win.
Typical socialist snake. But if the Conservatives can organize and drive home to the electorate the many bonehead moves Eby has done that have made life so expensive, maybe, just maybe they can pull off a win.
If anyone needed more proof that Eby was nothing but a sleezy bottom-shelf individual…….. I think this latest move more than proves exactly what kind of person he is. They say eventually everyone reveals their true colours. I’d say Eby has definitely shown B.C. his.
The successful aspect about the left is they use every lever of power to retain power once they obtain power. It also remains unified in the pursuit of obtaining and retaining power. In the same way as whenever they obtain power they use it to ram through their agendas, which are hidden agendas.
The right on the other hand always follows the Marquis of Queensbury rules during the cage fight. If by some miracle they win then they believe in only taking micro steps to implement their agenda, assuming they remain unified and do not implode. Until the Canadian right starts fighting and implementing using the same rules as the left, it will always be the bridesmaid.
