British Columbia Premier David Eby has formally requested Prime Minister Mark Carney to designate the Indian Lawrence Bishnoi gang as a terrorist organization.
In a letter posted online, Eby cited a growing wave of threats and extortion targeting Indians in British Columbia as the reason for his request.
