Dozens of Canadian Armed Forces soldiers were pulled from a recent training exercise in Alaska after suffering frostbite injuries, with sources citing inadequate government-issued gear as the cause.

Dozens of Canadian Armed Forces soldiers were pulled from a recent training exercise in Alaska after suffering frostbite injuries, with sources citing inadequate government-issued military gear as the cause.

The CAF initially attempted to cover up that more than 30 soldiers based in Petawawa endured frostbite during “Exercise Global Resolve” in February. A number of the cases were extremely serious, resulting in hospitalizations in Fairbanks, Alaska.
