Ontario Premier Doug Ford escalated his war of words with Washington on Thursday, comparing U.S. President Donald Trump to a “rabid dog” while urging Canada to fight American tariff threats “tooth and nail.”
Ford made the remark while speaking to reporters at the summer meeting of Canada’s premiers in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
“[It’s] hard to deal with President Trump when he changes his mind every single day,” Ford said.
“One day the prime minister is with him side by side, and next thing you know, President Trump turns on him like a rabid dog.”
