Vancouver-area MP and interim NDP leader Don Davies was recorded attending an event hosted by the Chinese-Canadian Chamber of Commerce at the Chinese consulate in Vancouver on Monday, celebrating 55 years of diplomatic ties between Canada and China.
Davies shared his remarks with Chinese media on the occasion: “Well, it’s an important day for Canada because we are celebrating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of strategic partnership with China, but also we are gathering with a lot of Canadian-Chinese entrepreneurs that do a lot of business and our economy really needs this type of activity, so it’s a pleasure to be here.”
