Don Cherry vindicated + CBC is in big trouble + Khalistani critic murdered in Ontario
Bad news for the CBC + Don Cherry nominated for the Order of Canada after receiving the Order of Ontario + a shocking violent murder of an independent journalist and Khalistani critic in Ontario
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show News Update, Candice covers the latest bad news story for the CBC, as one of their former star anchors is going public with allegations and will be “naming names” in a Parliamentary committee hearing next week. Get your popcorn ready! We’ll be covering that hearing on Tuesday March 10, 2026.
Next, our friend and former colleague MP Andrew Lawton has nominated Canadian patriot Don Cherry for an Order of Canada award. Good on you, Andrew! Sign the petition.
This comes fresh off Cherry’s visit to Queen’s Park with Ontario Premier Doug Ford, where he was honoured with the Order of Ontario. Candice reminds us of the ridiculous cancel culture woke mob lynching of Cherry back in 2019, when Cherry was fired for using clunky language while demanding that people wear the poppy to respect those who died for our country and our freedom.
Cherry was right in 2019, and he’s been vindicated in 2026.
Finally, Candice details the grueLling story of Nancy Grewal who was murdered earlier this week outside of Windsor, Ontario, in what police are calling a targeted killing. Grewal was a vocal critic of Khalistani terrorism and worked to expose violent Sikh extremism in Canada.
Candice reminds the audience that the only other journalist ever assassinated in Canada was in 1998, when Tara Singh Hayer, the editor of a Sikh newspaper and another vocal critic of Khalistani terrorism was gunned down and murdered in his driveway.
Hayer was paralyzed from a previous assassination attempt, and was murdered in his wheelchair. The murder remains unsolved today. Candice reveals to the audience her own experience with Khalistani extremists – including violent threats and doxxing – back in 2018 when she wrote in the Toronto Sun.

A most interesting, revealing and truthful video.
Full of facts and undisputable evidence that truly since 2015 Canada has fallen big time.
Of course Don Cherry was right.
Speaking truth to power is almost always right.
The really sad and sickening part.
So many in the Elbowzoe crowd are so ill with TDS they would allow the little that is left of what used to be a wonderful and respected country to be destroyed by the liar, fake and fraud who will enrich himself and his buddies further and then, after all has been totally demolished..
RUN AWAY.
Harper had it right with a previous Liberal Fraud who was only "visiting" a country he had not lived in for a long time and Carney is no different nor now are what used to be the Centrist Liberal Party.
Neither Carney nor his trained seals are in it for you.
These two murders are certainly a strong argument for the immediate deportation of potential terrorists such as these. That goes for Islamists as well.
I asked AI about support in Canada for Khalistan. It said, "There is no official data on the exact number of supporters, but support for the Khalistan movement in Canada is considered a minority, fringe, or localized view among the roughly 770,000 to 800,000 Sikhs in the country. While over 100,000 people attended a 2022 referendum in Brampton, analysts suggest this represents a small, active faction rather than a majority of the community."
That should make police work easier, one would think. Are the police taking action or not?! Or are they failing to do their job to stop terrorism? Two murders of journalists -- absolutely unacceptable!
"As of 2021, over 771,800 Sikhs live in Canada. While some diaspora members in Canada are vocal supporters of the movement—often stemming from historical events in 1984—many Canadian Sikhs do not support the separatist ideology. "Observers describe the movement as having very low overall support, operating as a vocal, passionate minority rather than a mainstream movement."
That's good to know. Still, no more of them should be allowed in until the violent extremists are deported, even if it means stripping some of their citizenship -- a move that some EU nations are now doing to get rid of radical Islamists and criminals.
