At the same time it appears that a lack of parental involvement has resulted because people are too busy working or just not having enough time for the commitment children take. The first big intrusion in the lives of children was the television set as a baby sitter and now telephones and I pads. Your parents should be your best role models which means you are responsible for the things that shape your children early in life and your supervisory presence or lack of the same is up to you as you can’t go back and do it over. Your children are most vulnerable at the earliest stages of life and that is why your presence is required at school, in sports and all activities you have them involved in. The window of opportunity is a short time in your life in the big picture and your involvement and guidance in their lives is for their lifetime as well as yours.

I am beginning to think all schools boards as they are structured now should be demolished. A blend of provincial overseers, parents and maybe a few, very few elected board members. This board's raison d'etre is to educate our children by giving them the tools to function in a modern world and enable them to make informed choices based on facts and logic.
